Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Lead to oversee SAP PS implementations and integration with SAP SD. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP PS and a strong background in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, leading project implementations, and ensuring seamless integration between SAP PS and other modules.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP PS Implementation: Lead full-cycle SAP Project Systems (PS) implementations, including project planning, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- SAP SD Integration: Ensure smooth integration of SAP PS with SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) for contract management, milestone billing, and revenue recognition.
- Business Process Analysis: Work with business users to gather requirements, analyze gaps, and design solutions aligned with industry best practices.
- Configuration & Customization: Configure SAP PS functionalities, including WBS elements, networks, cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, and settlement.
- Industry-Specific Experience: Apply expertise in managing Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Operating Expenses (OPEX), Joint Venture Accounting, and Asset Management in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Project Leadership: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and solution delivery.
- Testing & Training: Develop and execute test scripts, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide end-user training.
- Support & Optimization: Provide post-go-live support, resolve issues, and optimize existing SAP PS solutions for improved efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with SAP SD, FI/CO, MM, and PM teams to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of SAP PS experience with full lifecycle implementation and support projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PS functionalities, including WBS, networks, cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and settlement.
- Hands-on experience in SAP PS and SAP SD integration (contract management, milestone billing, revenue recognition).
- Proven experience leading SAP PS projects, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.
- Expertise in Upstream Oil & Gas industry processes (CAPEX, OPEX, Joint Venture Accounting, Asset Management).
- Ability to work with business users, gather requirements, and provide solutions aligned with industry best practices.
- Experience collaborating with SAP SD, FI/CO, MM, and PM teams for cross-functional integration.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel 25% to Houston, TX (expenses paid), with the remainder of the role being remote.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in SAP Activate methodology for implementation.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and modern UI enhancements in SAP PS.
