Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our client team in Bellevue, WA. This is a local-only, onsite role and requires an in-person interview. The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on coder with deep expertise in microservices, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Excellent communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs.
• Work with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy, monitor, and optimize applications.
• Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with strong unit test coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

• 13+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to design and build scalable distributed systems.
• Excellent coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Must be local to Bellevue, WA and available for in-person interviews.
