Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer with 12+ years of overall IT experience for a 12-month W2 contract opportunity in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically strong across backend and frontend technologies, and capable of leading development efforts in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack applications
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and modern frameworks
• Build responsive and scalable frontend applications
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and code reviews
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps teams
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and performance best practices
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive resolutions
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+)
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
• Frontend experience with Angular or React
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and web services
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks
