Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Backend Developer to join our client team in Parsippany, NJ. This role is fully onsite, requiring strong in-person collaboration. The ideal candidate will have deep backend engineering expertise and a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications.

Local candidates only. W2 contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and sprint planning.
• Develop reusable, secure, and efficient server-side components.
• Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and external services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of backend systems.
• Develop unit tests, support QA, and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Proficient with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Parsippany, NJ.
